Christmas is SAVED

Well it looks like Rudolph the Reindeer doesnt like loud noises in his old age...

I wonder if Santa will bury him and waste the meat or roast him over an open fire and devour his flesh? If he eats him will Santa absorb his abilities and become even more powerfull by gaining Rudolphs mastery of flight or will just be stuck with a shiny nose? FEAR THE CLAUS.

Death and Life

Sep. 9th, 2005 | 12:38 pm

My life is in a heavy state of flux right now and it stems out of my mothers passing away on aug 8th. This was completely un-expected and it has made me focused on my family. My father is still near the deep end himself with a new tumor found in his other lung so I expect to bury both of my parents this year. I have alot of inner-strength it seems but I would not be able to get through all this without the help of my amazing woman Manada ([info]notommorowgirl) and my good friends. Thank you all for your support in these hard times.

Keeping my spirits up has been tough and I have been relying on my nerdy side for diversion and laughter and this made me laugh really hard when I read it.

Many things in my life, happened they have.

Jun. 6th, 2005 | 05:45 pm
music: Stockyard Stoics

First, I finaly saw the new star wars movie last week (what kind of a nerd am I not seeing it on opening day.. jebus).  Pretty good, tons of sweet action and not so much dialog ( a good thing ).  The best of the new trillogy, explains some things most people didnt know of, but still no where near the same ballpark as the originals.

Second, I checked out the sketch that Tyler from sacred heart did for my tattoo and it looks killer!!  Biomech muscle tissue that will be exposed through "rips" in my flesh.. I get it done this saturday!!!!!

Third, in nerd news Apple anounced today that they are switching to using Intel hardware inside their machines.  This is of most importance because I've been waiting to get rid of WINBLOWS for awhile and linux just hasnt lived up to my expectations for a desktop.. but the new version of OS X definately has.  I just havent been able to run it on my comp but now in about a years time or less all the drivers and such should be ready and I can "acquire" myself a copy.  MICROSHIT'S virtual pc product for OS X (no longer using an emulated instruction set so it will be just as fast as running windows) will be perfect for letting me run my games too!!

Fourth, I have now booked off the week of aug 26 to sept 4th for a roadtrip to san-fran with my babe.  Time to start saving....

Finaly, WHAT AN AMAZING TIKI PARTY WE HAD!!!  Manda and I busted our balls and put the finishing touches on the bar just before people started showing up on saturday but everything worked out smooth as my butt (95% hairless).  We had over 20 people in our house and didnt get one complaint from our neighbors even when people were crashing to the floor screeming trying to do the LIMBO.  Here is the story in pictures. (yes they are the same pics posted in manda-I'm-a-live-journal-slut's journal so you can stop now if you have seen them)

VOTE FOR STD.....oops I mean STV

May. 14th, 2005 | 12:42 pm
mood: GROOD GROOD

The provincial election is on Tuesday the 17. This time there is much more at stake than just trying to kick gordo in the balls. Theres a referendum vote tagged on to the ballot this year and if you ever have voted for a fringe party like the green party or thought of doing so you need to go out and VOTE YES to the STV (Single Transferable Vote) ballot.

The STV initiative will change how you vote in the next provincial election.  In short STV allows for better (ie proportional) representation.
I found a link to a sweet flash animation that makes it easy for everyone to understand.

Theres more information on the website as well.

I'm voting yes and if you were thinking of voting for the green party or marijuana party or what ever PLEASE vote yes to STV.  It will be better to vote yes for STV than actualy vote for all those parties this election.  I'm going to be voting yes and using my actual vote for the NDP this time.  Yes I want to vote green but this election GORDO needs to die and Jenny Kwan is in my riding and she rules.

Oh yeah...for all you apathetic about voting, you too should vote yes for STV this election.  Because it will actualy MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT next time if it passes.  Then all yall cant bitch about your vote being USELESS.

Skatelong and Adbust

Well the protest on Saturday was ok. It was a grey day to be out and about but stayed mostly dry till the end of the march. I was a disapointed in the turn out. Only about 300 people compared to 2000 last time. I found out this was due to there being a completely separate protest about the same thing earlier in the day. I don't know why they didnt all march together (same cause, no more war in IRAQ and elseware) but maybe it had something to do with all those people from MAWO (Mobilization Against War and Occupation) constantly asking Manda and I if we wanted to take their flyers. I swear it was like 18 times or something until I got pissed enough to tell em loudly to STOP FLYERING ME. Now I think flyering to begin with is mostly a waste of trees but when I'm standing at the rally with a sign already made...

Don't they think I already know whats up? Stupids, save them for the people mindlessly shopping on robson. I should of went to the other one by the looks of this pic.. )

Shake your fist in the air

Ok people,
You like war don't you, all those poor starving iraqis being dominated by the US?
Cheaper gas right? WRONG!

The US made a HUGE mistake for going into IRAQ and now we are going to pay for it.. Literally at the pump and everywhere else (especially in canada) once the US economy hits the shitter in about 2 to 3 years. They have gone into debt that will take generations to pay back (currently sitting at about 25,000 dollars per citizen) and we are going to suffer because of it.

The good news? well there isnt really any but there is a Anti-war rally taking place this saturday. Its a GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION so there will be major protests in all large cities around the world. Come out and add your voice and presence.

GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION
Anti-war protest for the anniversary of the invasion of IRAQ.
Where: Art Gallery Downtown on Georgia st.
When: Sat March 19th NOON

One of the few times you can make an impact just by showing up and walking around a bit. The more people there are, the bigger the media coverage. We all know how important that is to our leaders (wieners) in Parliament. Even though our Government is against the war in IRAQ we need to remind them to keep it that way. Especially seeing as how they don't actually form opinions by consulting the people they are supposed to be representing most of the time and just react to the media's portrayal of issues or the corporations lining their pockets.

If you want to meet up with me and others call my cell phone at

See you all there!

Hey LJ.. I know we haven't seen eye to eye lately with me being all anti-social but hey we were once good together ya know... I miss the good ole times when I could ramble on for no reason at all and you were always there through my trip across this VAST and BLOODIED cuntry. Whats that? you want to listen again? OK, I'll start with what I did this weekend. I ran off with my favorite person in the world (MANDA'STROYER) this weekend for a private remote escape from civilization. Samsquanch (Sasquatch) Park just out of Harrison Hot Springs. Droped the canoe we borrowed into the lake on what I belive is the first true day of spring this year (a week before spring solstice, thanks global warming). Paddle around drinking beer taking clothes off and embracing the true CANUDIST WAY. After visiting the two islands we packed up the canoe and headed to pitch a tent. Seeing the few hours remaining we adventured across the great mountain by Deer (how original) lake. Here are some of the best pictures of the trip:

Myojin saved my ass

Jan. 21st, 2005 | 08:57 am

So I played Magic The Gathering with a bunch of my old friends that I grew up with in port alberni last night. It was great. Got drunk/stoned and managed to have everyone live in a 5 player game up until the very end. Very strange for a large multiplayer game. Someone usualy dies quick. I only managed to survive due to bringing back this card to my hand and playing it again and again after setting off its amazing ability.

Also [info]ericfaceplant[info] kept turning on his smoke machine for dramatic effect...

I think he pretends hes a real wizard when no one is around...

Trashed o Billy

Jan. 18th, 2005 | 08:53 am

Hey folks,

I had a great weekend! How bout yourselves? I got to go to the sex trade show at canada place where we saw some fire dancers, Tranys and some scantily clad pole dancing instructors. Picked up some on sale goodies and headed home to drink and play! Next night we went out to the Trash-o-Billy night at the marine club. I usualy dont look forward to going to the marine club cuz lots of people are snots there but this night was good. Ran into Sharona and ... forgeting other girls name, who stayed with me and spike in toronto. They are living in van now and don't know anybody. So yay for new friends. It was our turn to host the Twin Peaks Potluck on sunday and that was good.. Lots of food and david lynch.

I'm currently looking to buy a drum kit too so anyone who has bought kits before and can give me some purchasing advice or knows of a cheap one gimme a shout!

Oh and does anybody even read my live journal anymore... no one seems to comment. Wondering if I'm just writing to myself sometimes...

Till next time.

Hey everybody!

Long time no post.

Been on quite a bit of adventuring and bendering and video gaming lately.  Pistmas was good,  party at the Tingey house as always.  Got a new wireless keyboard/mouse for my computer thats pretty swank.  After that I went on a grand ole adventure down to seattle to see Jello Biafra play with the Melvins.  AMAZING SHOW!!!  They did all the good songs from their album NEVER BREATH WHAT YOU CANT SEE and 4 Dead Kennedy tunes.  Callifornia Uber Alles was a highlight due to the updated lyrics about Arnold Shwartzinfleginer.  Heres some pics:

Christmas Shopping Blues

Dec. 20th, 2004 | 08:42 am
mood: working
music: Jelvins - Caped Crusader

This weekend was awsome! Fri night Manda and I went out to the pic pub where we ran into one of her ex's. Funny chap with a silly lisp. Seemed to like me alot.. maybe a little too much. Moved from there to pub 340 where a bunch of my friends were out for an uberslut thing. The next night we went out to the railway club to see Los Furrios. Great ska punk band. Danced alot and met some more of Mandas friends that she grew up with. Went back to our place after and drank till 5 in the morning. So much for getting up sunday morning early to go christmas shopping.

Finaly dragged our assholes out of bed at about 1 with headaches and strove out into the consumer orgy that is christmas time. Managed to POWERSHOP our way through for about 3 hours untill my anger levels rose so much I developed a perma-grouch face that had to be soothed with an ice cream treat. Made it home in time to eat some pizza with Mandas parental units who came over with wine and pizza then watched the funniest movie I have seen in a long time.. Its called THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA and its a new movie but its black and white and made in the style of the early horror flicks of the Ed Wood era with cheap cheap props and insanely stupid and repetative dialog. But the movie is so crazy and funny I must own it now.

JUST LIVER!!!

music: Tool blasting through my floor from my neighbors

Hey everybody!

Christmas is fast approaching and I haven't done fuck all about it... feels kinda good. I'm just starting my shopping tonight online. Ahh the internet makes me lazy.

My parents were over last weekend. It was good times. My feeble legged dad who couldnt walk more than 2 blocks found strength enough to have 2 dances with my hot girlfriend. Guess the look of her got his blood pumpin or something.

Saw the red elvises on sun. Awsome show like the last time I saw them. Check out my grrrls journal for pics. [info]notommorowgirl

Eric gave me a book for my birthday/christmas present yesterday. Its a book writen by Terry and Dean from the movie FUBAR!! FUCKIN EH! It tells you how to how to live life like they do... they talk about pressing life lessons like how to properly execute the SHOCKER. "Some call it the THE SHOCKER but thats bullshit -- you can't shock a finger up the rear end, you gotta ease it in" They even get philisophical on work with this quote "Man is born free, but everywhere he's workin. So be it. Just don't let work become your life or your wife, and you'll be in the clear shotgunnin a beer." Exactly how I feel on the subject. He even got it signed for me, cuz I'm special.

Today was the staff christmas party, I did my duty in representing the IT department by putting back a 6 pack stuffing my face with food and leaving work early.

OH and heres the best news of all... JELLO AND THE MELVINS ARE PLAYING IN SEATTLE ON THE 30TH WITH DOA........ *HOLY FUCK-A-MOLE* I'm already there. Check out their new album at the at site www.alternativetentacles.com

Coffee Fueled Morning

Dec. 8th, 2004 | 07:37 am
mood: sleepy sleepy
music: Silence, its quiet here in the mornings

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!! We're broadcasting directly to your home today from my lofty perch in my new office in the Michael Smith Laboratorys Biotech building of UBC.

So my party went off without a hitch. None of Mandas friends showed up but a bunch of mine did. Drunken sharades and gambling for quarters entertained us till 4 in the morning. I got rad presents like a pirate ship to hang on my wall (the ss. MULEDICK) some contraban and a travel mug. Spent the next day hung over as all hell, ate a fine dinner thanks to Mandas parents and went out drinking again at pub 340 and the marine club. Tried to make it to see Raised by Wolves at pub 340 but didnt get out in time. Oh well they play around here alot so I'll get another chance.

Kind of dreading this weekend. My parents are comming over from the island to go to a relatives 65th wedding aniversary (whoa!) and they are staying at my place... its gonna be interesting thats for sure. Poor Manda is gonna have to put up with my sauced up parents for 2 nights. Sucker.

My new job is going excelent. Its kinda slack but I get to learn a lot about macs and linux now and that makes me excited. I even get to do some web programming soon whooooo! As for my computer at home I've been spending all my time reinstalling windows (blah) on my new 200 Gig hard drive (yay).

Christmas is nearing but it doesnt feel like it and I dont have any presents for anyone yet. Christmas is always a blur to me anyway..
